Guided Walking History Tour of Traverse City

Welcome To Our 2018 Season

Mondays and Tuesdays at 2PM

May 14th - October 9th

(Weather Permitting)

We begin and end each tour at the Perry Hannah Plaza - at the NW corner of Sixth & Union Streets.

SUNDAY 9/23  The weather forecast for Monday (the 24th) looks pretty good, sunny, with temps in the 70's.  Tuesday looks like it might be a little rainy.  As always, check back here or visit our Facebook page for last minute info.

"Very informative and enlightening tour. Steve did a great job of conveying our local history. Friendly, knowledgeable and nice way to spend the afternoon. Thanks again."   Melani P., Traverse City

Time & Distance
The tour is two hours of walking over a two mile route, with a rest stop at the Traverse City Visitors Center.  The walk includes stairs, and as such, it may not be suited for those with walking or stamina issues.  However, with some advance notification, accommodations can be made.

We begin and end each tour at the Perry Hannah Plaza - 6th and Union St.
Our tours are free and open to everyone.  However, our tour guides rely on your generosity at the conclusion of the tour.  Suggested gratuities are $10 for adults, $8 for Seniors and students, but
are entirely up to the individual.

Of course we like nice days for our tours, but Mother Nature still has the final say.  A light rain or drizzle won't stop us,
but any dangerous weather (lightning, heavy rain, high winds, etc.) will mean a cancellation of our tour.  Please check the information box above or visit our Facebook page for last minute details.

The tour’s historical nature may not be that appealing to younger people. So it is suggested that children under 14 not be included.

The Guided Walking History Tour is FREE walking tour not affiliated with any non-profit, for profit, or municipal organization.
